We are using these materials as a sensory break when students need a few minutes to reset during the school day. The kinetic sand has quickly become a favorite! Students can take a short break to build, create, and relax before returning to their classroom activities. I have already seen how having a calm, hands-on space can help students slow down, regulate their emotions, and return to learning feeling more focused and ready to work. As we continue through the school year, we will work on helping students recognize when they need a break and learn how to use these sensory tools appropriately and independently.
