It's where my students gather each morning to build community, listen to stories, share ideas, and learn together. Having a clean, comfortable, and clearly defined space has made an enormous difference in their focus and sense of belonging. The rug helps with organization, encourages positive social interactions, and gives every child a personal space to feel safe and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe excitement the students showed when we rolled it out was unforgettable! Instead, the whiteboard can be brought closer to small groups, shifted to the side for hands-on demonstrations, or rolled up front for whole-class discussions. This flexibility means that every student has an equal opportunity to access the content being taught, which has greatly increased engagement and participation.\r\n\r\nIn short, the mobile whiteboard has turned my classroom into a place where every idea comes to life. Receiving these sacks allowed the children to have their own personal spot for their things.\r\nWhen the package came the children were so excited, they were ready to grab their IPADS. I gave each student some headphones and they labeled them immediately.\r\nAs far as the seat sacks, I was so surprised that they actually wanted to clean out and organize their desks. They labeled their seat sacks and placed workbook, folder & pencil sack inside. \r\nNext I would love to advocate with administration for a larger classroom. We can possibly expand our library, by adding bean bag chairs, book buddies (stuffed animals for the students to read with) & level readers for the students.","fullyFundedDate":1544163108404,"projectUrl":"project/a-new-adventure/3497523/","projectTitle":"A New Adventure","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Townes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5679273_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x0,y295&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739299658065","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5679273"},{"teacherId":8178762,"projectId":9009425,"letterContent":"Grace and Peace! It's great to see the positive impact it has on the classroom environment. As a teacher, it helps me with classroom management and keeping the students on task and involved in the lesson. \r\n One of the first questions the students ask as they enter my classroom is if they can be first to use the bikes. I love the idea that this is a desire, and its already paid off immensely for the students. Physical well-being is a priority of mine personally, and the classroom conversations involving health and STEM has really made connections to this wonderful addition to my STEM lab. Reading experts argue that 30 minutes of independent reading a day is required for foundational reading development, and this can now happen in my classroom since students have books that are at their instructional reading level.\r\nMy students were so excited when they saw our new materials, and they helped me unbox and sort everything we were gifted. One student took the lead on helping me assemble the library cart, and he did a great job! He helped me to line up the beams on the cart and tighten the screws, as well as put the wheels on the bottom. \r\nFor our next steps, students will be able to check books out from the library for independent reading time. We will do a library tour so each student can see what kind of books are offered, and they can select books that they are interested in reading.
