Reading is an essential aspect of our everyday lives because it’s a fundamental part of how we communicate. Immersing students in reading helps to foster literacy and create a love of learning. As students learn to read, they begin to understand their surrounding environment better. They gain further insights about the world, other people, and even themselves. These materials will provide a welcoming environment for our classroom library. Students will be able to take flexible seating throughout the classroom and enjoy independent or buddy reading time. If students see colors, organization and options in the library they will want to visit; and improve their cognitive development, increase their vocabulary and boost their memory function.
