Third grade is a pivotal year because students transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Unfortunately, our school does not have a library or librarian, so I feel a responsibility to provide my students with books that inspire a love of reading. I have taught for over 20 years, with most of my career dedicated to third grade. While math is my passion, I know strong reading skills are the foundation for success in every subject. Over the past five years, my students have consistently exceeded growth expectations, showing what they can achieve with the right support. These books will help build a classroom library filled with high-interest titles that spark curiosity, expand knowledge, and encourage lifelong readers. Your support will give my students the opportunity to explore the world through books and discover the joy of reading.
