They love to use that game!\r\n\r\nThe materials given for the teacher purpose allowed me to place the children's classwork in a organized way to showcase their work and keep it in a safe place. I am super excited about the shelving because I am able to prep my classwork for the week. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for donating to our classroom! The students will love to play and learn with! I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredibly generous donation of new reading materials to my classroom. \r\n\r\nThe dice writing prompts have ignite so much creativity in our writing activities. The students love how they can roll the dice makes it more fun and mysterious which they like. Since our school participates in \"Write About It Wednesday,\" these dice have been a great addition to the class \r\n\r\nThe reading and phonics games have been an invaluable resource in supporting our literacy instruction. The students have been so excited to play all the different learning games! For example, the \"Blah Blah Blah\" game has been particularly helpful with reinforcing phonics, and the kids love how it keeps them engaged. They also really enjoy the card game, which offers different levels, making it similar to playing Uno. The students are loving how the game challenges them while helping them practice their skills.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting additions has been the blue telephone devices. These devices have been especially beneficial for students who have difficulty hearing the sounds they make when reading. The devices help them clearly hear and focus on the correct sounds of letters, which has been a game-changer for many of my students.\r\n\r\nThe reading rug was the first thing the students noticed when they entered the classroom, and their reactions were priceless! They were so excited to see it and thrilled that they now have a comfortable, designated space to gather together for read-alouds and group activities. It has created a cozy atmosphere where they love to sit and read, and they are especially excited to have more spots around the room to curl up with their books. This addition has definitely made our classroom feel more inviting and has fostered a sense of community as they explore stories together.\r\n\r\nLastly, the prize basket has brought so much joy and motivation to the class. The students are incredibly excited to earn rewards and are working harder than ever to achieve their goals. It's made a world of difference in encouraging positive behaviors and fostering a love for learning.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your thoughtful and impactful donation. Your generosity has truly enhanced our learning environment, and my students are thriving as a result. I am deeply appreciative of your support and look forward to seeing the continued positive effects of these materials on my students' educational journeys.","fullyFundedDate":1739369081703,"projectUrl":"project/reading-interventionist-help-students-wi/9001563/","projectTitle":"Reading Interventionist Help Students with Reading Skills and Provide Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Marroquin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9871330"},{"teacherId":9806491,"projectId":8885791,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations. It has allowed my students to grown and be confident while doing it. Their favorite resource donated was the \"Blah Blah Blah\" game. When my students first saw the new reading resources, they were incredibly excited and curious. Many of them had never used such interactive tools before, and the idea of integrating reading resources into their learning sparked their interest immediately. \r\nThere was also a sense of relief among students who had struggled with traditional reading materials. They felt more confident using the tools, as they could work at their own pace without feeling pressured. The immediate feedback from the resources gave them a sense of accomplishment, especially when they saw improvements in their reading fluency or vocabulary. For some students, this was the first time they had ever experienced a resource that truly catered to their individual learning needs. They began to realize that reading was something they could actually enjoy, rather than something they had to \"get through.\"\r\n\r\n There was a noticeable increase in peer support, as students shared tips and strategies for using the tools effectively. Overall, the initial reactions were overwhelmingly positive, with students expressing a new sense of ownership over their learning and an eagerness to continue using the resources in their reading journeys. My scholars said they have everything they need besides a reading corner, so they can be comfortable while reading. As always I want them to be comfortable while working, so I will brainstorm ways to make reading intervention more comfortable for my scholars.","fullyFundedDate":1733174677023,"projectUrl":"project/fun-learning/8885791/","projectTitle":"Fun Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hightower","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9806491"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_5962","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":455,"numTeachers":8,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":92,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"56.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.6,"schoolId":5962,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Legacy Charter School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Legacy Charter School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/chicago-public-school-district-299/legacy-charter-school/5962"}
