One meaningful moment was watching students work together while practicing turn-taking, sharing materials, and using their words to express feelings and ideas. The materials have created natural opportunities for students to problem-solve, build empathy, and learn how to navigate emotions in a safe and supportive environment.\r\nThe students were extremely excited and curious when they first saw the materials. Many expressed their feelings right away, saying how happy and eager they were to use them. This excitement helped students feel more comfortable, confident, and motivated, which led to positive interactions and stronger peer connections.\r\nNext, students will continue using these resources to strengthen key social-emotional skills such as self-regulation, cooperation, and emotional expression. We will incorporate them into lessons that focus on identifying feelings, managing emotions, and building positive relationships with peers. These resources will help create a calm, inclusive classroom where students feel supported, valued, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1758493524183,"projectUrl":"project/calm-bodies/9649662/","projectTitle":"Calm Bodies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Soto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10223333"},{"teacherId":8622463,"projectId":9658433,"letterContent":"The Donors Choose materials for our project \"Just Breathe\", had a positive emotional and physical impact on our Pre-K learners. The students were excited to sit on the beanbags and rest their heads on the soft pillows. The bean bag chairs and bright, comfortable pillows created a warm, calming space where children felt safe, relaxed, and supported, helping reduce stress and increase focus during learning and quiet time. The nutritious snacks supported their physical well-being by giving them the energy they needed to stay engaged, participate actively, and regulate their moods throughout the day. \r\nTogether, these resources helped foster a nurturing environment that promoted comfort, emotional security, and healthy development. Our Pre-K classroom is truly thankful for these generous materials and the meaningful difference they have made in our daily routine. We look forward to continuing to use the Donors Choose program in the future to help provide additional resources that support our young learners' growth, comfort, and success, ensuring we can meet their needs and create an engaging, nurturing learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1756954828290,"projectUrl":"project/just-breathe/9658433/","projectTitle":"Just Breathe","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cochran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8622463"},{"teacherId":1772410,"projectId":9573010,"letterContent":"My middle school students, here in the Chicago Public Schools, wish to extend our deepest gratitude. Each time the whole class is present, we mark a letter off on our sign: CLASS OF 2026.
