With this printer, students can take greater ownership of their work—printing drafts, final papers, and creative projects that they're proud to hold in their hands. It has strengthened our writing and revision process, making peer reviews and editing more engaging and effective.\r\n\r\nThis printer also helps ensure equity in our classroom. Many students do not have access to a printer at home, and your donation allows every child the opportunity to produce high-quality materials without barriers. It has also improved our daily routines; students can independently print what they need, from assignments to planners, which saves time and supports the development of essential digital and organizational skills.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom and believing in our students.","fullyFundedDate":1755715750253,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-our-work-off-the-screen-and-in/9629620/","projectTitle":"Let's Get Our Work Off the Screen and Into Print!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cash","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/267235"},{"teacherId":573025,"projectId":9600881,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for sponsoring our color printer! It is immensely helpful to my students! They often use computers, but constant computer use is distracting and can actually be harmful to learning for some students, so it is important to be able to have attractive printed materials in the classroom for the times computers are not in use. It's also helpful to be able to to print out projects made by students in color so they can full \r\n\r\nWhen printing materials, black and white is typically all we can manage, but sometimes, color is what is needed to facilitate understanding. While teaching our first science unit on the human body, I was able to post COLOR vocabulary with images, so students could clearly see the organs and body parts that were being described, and have an easy visual reference available in the classroom.\r\n\r\nAnother great use for color printing is to make color-coded models for writing. Students who are learning to use graphic organizers to organize their writing don't always know how to transfer the information they collect in their graphic organizer into an organized essay. With color-coding in a model graphic organizer and essay, I can show students how to transfer information into their essays and help them learn to become successful writers. \r\n\r\nWe are looking forward to designing our own novel covers for our independent reading books next quarter and hanging up our color printouts.
