Independent reading and access to quality literature is crucial to the success of all students. My English Language Learners are currently limited by the few Spanish titles available in our classroom library. While they work on reading and speaking English, they also need to continue to develop their comprehension and analysis skills at the higher level at which they read in their native language. This project will provide English Language Learners with Spanish language editions of books that we have in our classroom library and that have been read and enjoyed by many middle-schoolers. The students will be able to read, discuss, and enjoy these books alongside their classmates.

About my class
