Students were so proud completing their novels and did such rigorous, impressive work throughout the unit. This was truly a marvel and goes to show when students have the materials they need, they can truly rise to the occasion. \r\n\r\nStudents were deeply engaged in their choice books and were able to have sustained discourse about their different books by using student-developed inquiry questions about the human experience. Students explored themes in their book using pertinent textual evidence and then discussed essential questions using art as a shared text.
