For my special education students, having a comfortable, dedicated spot on the carpet or floor gives them the physical support and sensory ease they need to focus. Whether they are diving into independent reading, completing math tasks, or taking a quiet moment to regulate, these soft seating options allow them to feel comfortable, safe, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nCelebrating Hard Work & Building Motivation\r\n\r\nThe prize incentives have brought immense joy and positive reinforcement into our daily routine. My students put in incredible effort every day to reach their individual goals, and being able to earn rewards for their hard work has boosted their self-esteem and enthusiasm. The students were very excited when they saw the box arrive. I explained to the students that they received gifts from a donor who wants them to do their best in school. We opened the package as a class. I introduced each item and let the students explore. \r\n\r\nI created had a sensory area for students to take a break when emotionally overwhelmed or when they need a \"brain break\" after completing their work. I added the new sensory items and put up the 4 posters. One student was intrigued by the posters and often referred to the Calming Strategies when choosing a break activity. As you can see from the photos, the students liked to use and manipulate the various sensory items. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity.
