Happily, all the books that were in this order are being checked out and enjoyed by the kids. The boxes started rolling in just after our Spring Break. I worked really hard to process all the books to get them into our system as quickly as I could. The kids anticipation to be able to check out the books was so wonderful. They could see the books, but had to wait until I could add them to the system and put all the stickers and book covers on to make them library books. The wait was worth it! Just about every book had a wait list. The first ones to get each book were thrilled to be the first! They were excited about the fresh new books.\r\n\r\nOver the summer, all the books got back on the shelves and it was beautiful! Having them all in stock made me realize how many new books we got! Since school is back in session, however, the books are off the shelves again and in the hands of the kids. The waitlists have begun to fill up again. One group of kids is reading the Chronicles of Narnia, another is working through all the Choose Your Own Adventures. The littlest ones are loving all the Elephant and Piggie books.\r\n\r\nThis project has made a huge difference for our library. We were using an electronic drum set before , which is not the same as the sound feel and aesthetic as a real acoustic drum set. Ever since we received the acoustic drum set , we immediately put it to use for rehearsals, then leading up to multiple school assemblies. The students would perform with the Catalyst School House band and also support other students and classes musically.\r\n\r\nIt was such a great reaction from the students.When they saw the box open with the new drum set, they immediately put it together, set it up and began playing.
