My students are wonderful, imaginative and charismatic children in grades K-3 who happen to have exceptional learning and behavioral needs. Despite facing extraordinary challenges in their lives outside of school, my students come to my classroom ready to learn and to be loved. Many of them are just becoming confident at school and are beginning to think of new possibilities for their futures, which is supported with our college-minded classroom. Our classroom is part of a holistic charter school in Chicago. 99.5% of our students qualify for free school lunch.
