The sensory items help students stay calm and focused, while the movement tools give them a healthy way to release energy and manage stress.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching a student who usually struggles to stay in class use a sensory tool to take a quick break—and then return to their work with a smile. The whole class has been exploring the items, and their faces lit up with excitement when they first saw them.\r\n\r\nFor this upcoming school year, we will utilize these tools during sensory breaks to help students re-engage in reading, math, and social skills activities. Our next step is to teach students how to independently choose the right tool for their needs, enabling them to self-regulate throughout the day.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has brought more calm, focus, and joy to our classroom. They have been discussing the books with one another. We have been working on central idea and they have been able to take turns reading and discussing with one another. Students sometimes arrive to my classroom without a pencil, they know that they have access to pencils for their work. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your donation.
