My students love the story \"The Gingerbread Man\". We used the story to practice communication goals such as narrative retell, answering questions, and making connected comments. Then, we used the materials, such as the sensory bin, to extend and generalize the skill. This provoked creativity in my students, and led us to extend the unit even more decorating our very own gingerbread cookies! \r\n\r\nMy students saw the boxes when the materials were delivered, and they were so excited and wanted to help me open the boxes. My students were so excited to use the sensory bin, and we ended up mixing some different toys into the bin too!
