These books have brought a whole new kind of excitement to our library, and it has been wonderful to see students eager to pick up a book and discover where their choices will take them. I love seeing the looks on their faces when I show them a book and tell them that they can read it multiple times and get a different ending each time. \r\n\r\nMy 2nd through 5th grade students have been impacted by these books and have been especially excited to be in control of the story. These books not only get our students excited about reading but they are an opportunity for the readers to think about taking risks, and what consequences our choices might have. \r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting impacts has been watching some of my 5th grade reluctant readers discover books that they're excited to read. My students have mentioned that they love the ability to make choices, and see what happens next. Many of my students have also mentioned how much they enjoy getting to the end of their adventure and starting over from the beginning to make new choices. \r\n\r\nAs a school librarian, there is nothing better than seeing a student who wasn't sure they wanted to read, suddenly become absorbed in a book.
