The number of students checking out books has increased and I'm excited to say has included a handful of students that I've been previously unable to convince to borrow a book. Not only are students checking out the books that were donated but it has left them with a hunger for reading that has led them to checking out additional titles that they hadn't previously considered.\r\n\r\nWith testing coming up in the next few months, I have no doubt that our reading scores will increase because of these books. These books not only make our students better readers, but they also improve their vocabularies. \r\n\r\nNot only did your donation encourage some curious readers but when I shared that the books were funded through generous donations, it taught our students about generosity. I have had multiple conversations with students who wanted to know more about the process of books being donated.
