The drawing and painting paper, Kwik Stix paint sticks, and colored paper will give my students the materials they need to explore their creativity through a variety of art projects. Before this donation, I had very little colored paper available, which made it difficult to provide students with the supplies needed to fully complete and personalize their artwork.\r\n\r\nHaving these materials now means that my students can experiment with color, drawing, painting, cutting, layering, and creating without worrying about whether we have enough supplies. The colored paper and drawing/painting paper especially make all the difference because they allow me to offer more engaging, hands-on projects and give every student the opportunity to create. I am incredibly grateful for this generosity and for the chance to provide my students with an art experience that is more creative, accessible, and inspiring!","fullyFundedDate":1776094903445,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies-for-my-growing-artist/10065293/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies for My Growing Artists","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Unruh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8587736_orig.jpg?crop=1500,1500,x0,y250&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759110063494","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/unruhlyartteacher"},{"teacherId":8587736,"projectId":9770464,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. The supplies you provided have had a meaningful impact on my art classroom and have allowed my students to work on projects such as watercolor tree perspective, dot art with kindergarten, and an upcoming large cardboard sculpture project where students will design, cut, and construct an animal of their choosing.\r\n\r\nThis is my first year teaching art, so I am continually learning and growing as an educator. With your support and the new supplies, we are able to explore more projects, learn about different types of art, and use media that we would not have had access to without your donation.\r\n\r\nMy students were absolutely ecstatic when I told them what was coming, and when the supplies arrived, they could not wait to begin using them. Thank you again for helping me provide my classroom with engaging art supplies and a cardboard cutter that will support many projects for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1760758609102,"projectUrl":"project/from-box-to-masterpiece-cardboard-art-a/9770464/","projectTitle":"From Box to Masterpiece: Cardboard Art Adventures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Unruh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8587736_orig.jpg?crop=1500,1500,x0,y250&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759110063494","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/unruhlyartteacher"},{"teacherId":8692918,"projectId":9572352,"letterContent":"We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support in funding our elementary music room. Your donation has made it possible to provide our students with new and exciting resources that enrich their musical learning experience. Thanks to your kindness, our classroom is now filled with opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and joyful exploration through music.\r\nThe addition of the electric drum sets has truly energized our students, giving them the chance to experience rhythm and performance in a modern and engaging way. The new music books are helping us expand our curriculum, allowing students to explore a wider range of songs, styles, and cultural traditions. Beyond the instruments and books, the agility hoops and prizes have been wonderful tools for reinforcing positive behavior and encouraging teamwork, focus, and respect among our young musicians.\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students are developing not only their musical skills but also their confidence, discipline, and love of learning. Your support shows them that their creativity matters and that the community believes in their potential. We received a huge classroom rug, and high-quality whiteboards with writing lines, which are things that we use every single day in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe first day that my students showed up and were able to see the new rug, there was so much excitement and glee on their faces. We had not had a rug before, and it only used floor spots. They thought having a new rug was the best thing ever, and they said it was so pretty in our classroom. It also helped tremendously with keeping them in their own space!\r\n\r\nBecause we received the items near the end of the year, they did not have a chance to use the new whiteboards. However, my class this new school year has had a chance to utilize the new whiteboards. We use them daily to practice our handwriting, letters, and sounds, sight words, writing CVC words, and writing sentences.\r\n\r\nWe finally had a chance to write in our writing journals for the first time this past week, and I can tell that all of the work that we have been doing using our whiteboards has really made a difference in their writing within their journals. They are already writing in complete sentences with finger spaces and punctuation, and they are sounding out their words.\r\n\r\nI am so proud of how hard my kids have worked, but their progress would not have been made possible without such an amazing donation. I will always be so grateful and appreciative for this company and all of the work that they do to help teachers.","fullyFundedDate":1746448396885,"projectUrl":"project/a-must-for-my-kindergarten-authors/9268923/","projectTitle":"A Must for My Kindergarten Authors!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Irwin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10004525_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745443480077","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10004525"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_52462","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":691,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":27,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"22.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.7,"schoolId":52462,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mill Creek Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mill Creek Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/idaho/middleton-school-district/mill-creek-elementary-school/52462"}
