After they were ready for checking out, the kids began choosing them right away! As you can see by the few books left on the shelf in the second picture. \r\n The thing that surprises the kids about this competition, is that they end up reading at least one genre they don't normally choose- and they enjoy it. They also pay more attention to the story each book portrays. Most students find a new story or genre, and often ask me to obtain the second in that series or by that author. \r\n Thank you for providing the materials so the Atlas Elementary students can experience this growth in their reading journeys.","fullyFundedDate":1754586163046,"projectUrl":"project/reading-competition-books-for-the-librar/9247293/","projectTitle":"Reading Competition Books for the Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Grimm","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7876722"},{"teacherId":4962932,"projectId":9247513,"letterContent":"Thank you for the items to help my classroom. The kids love sitting with the animals while they read. It makes my classroom feel more cozy and like home.\r\n\r\nAll of the folders help to get my classroom off to a great start. I have 6 different classes so it helps to organize them. The notebooks are used by all grade levels for English language arts to write in. The notebooks coordinate with the folders.
