My students have thoroughly enjoyed the choice in reading topics. They have also enjoyed more choice at a reading level that is appropriate for them. \r\n\r\nIn first grade we work on lengthening student stamina in reading. Many students are transitioning from reading short picture books to longer chapter books. It is nice to have a variety of longer books to help students extend their stamina. \r\n\r\nWe have 15 minute one or two days a week that students can read silently to themselves. It has become a day they look forward to with our new books. \r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity.
