I am really enjoying the quick heat laminator. It makes it so fast to make picture communication cards. My students are enjoying having different color choices in the tape we use to reinforce communication books and devices. They like picking out new colors every time we change out the tape. My older students are really enjoying the claw machine. Who knew that providing students with tools to practice their handwriting would inspire a new morning routine of children eagerly asking, \"Can I go get the writing materials to practice?\" It has been absolutely incredible to watch students rush to finish their other assignments just so they can spend time refining their writing.\r\nThe enthusiasm the children have shown for these new resources is both welcome and inspiring. We have been utilizing a variety of items to keep engagement high:\r\nGrooved Training & Dry-Erase Books: The students love alternating between these tactile tools, and the routine has become a permanent, beloved part of our mornings.\r\nAddition & Subtraction Handwriting Books: These have allowed the children to build both their math fluency and their number-writing skills simultaneously.\r\nSound-Writing Boards: These boards have been instrumental in helping the students visually break down words as they read and write.\r\nAs my students grow more confident in their physical handwriting, I am already seeing a direct impact on their daily writing. When they first saw the materials, their faces lit up, there were wide eyes, tactile exploration, and a lot of happy gestures. While these items are incredibly fun, they are also powerful tools for communication. We use them specifically to work on functional requesting. Whether a student is using a communication device, sign language, or verbal approximations, they are highly motivated to ask for a \"spin the chair\" or to \"change the color\" of the lamp.\r\n\r\nJust last week, I watched one of my more reserved students who often struggles to engage with peers invite a classmate over to the sensory tiles.
