They created a campus tour video that new students can watch to help them navigate through the school, a recycling video to talk about the importance of recycling, and even did to a tik tok challenge (strike a pose with your teacher) to play at the end of the year assembly. \r\n\r\nThey learned how to utilize apps like imovie and teleprompter which they enjoyed. Another project the students completed was creating a pot filled with bright flowers as an art project. During this project, the student used art media like paint and focus on elements of art such as color. The students were very excited to receive and utilize the materials from this project. They appreciated the opportunities that this project provided them. The students sit at the kidney tables daily to complete small group instruction. They are able to write on the kidney tables, which make their discussions more rich and engaging. When they are finished, they can easily grab a wipe to clean up their area.\r\n Lastly, the Scholastic News has benefited my level 2 group during RTI. It saves me time from leveling my grade 4 scholastic articles to meet their level. Some of the videos we created utilizing the equipment were for September 11th (Patriots Day), Unity Day, and hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Students used the ipad to google information and share statistics about the day/event. They then used the ipad and microphone to tape themselves. Once our video was completed it was shared with the whole school.\r\n\r\nThis also gave my students the opportunity to grow as individuals. It helped me create a fun learning environment in which my students enjoyed learning about various careers in the construction industry. The students were very excited to learn about the tasks of people such as engineers, plumbers, and construction workers. The students also worked cooperatively in teams to construct a bridge that would allow the three billy goats to safely cross the river to get to their grazing area without being eaten by the mean troll. The students really took pride in their bridge creations.\r\n\r\nOn another day, the students enjoyed a fun 'beach' themed day. On that day, students learned about jellyfish, being a lifeguard, and got to design a surfboard for Santa with various materials. The surfboards for Santa were actually tested in a tub of water and although not all groups were successful in creating a surfboard that was able to float, all the students had a lot of fun.\r\n\r\nOn both days, there were a variety of crafts that the students created using the materials provided through this donation. These various arts and craft projects provided students with a creative outlet and the excitement on their faces was heart-warming.
