For many students, seeing professional-looking photos of themselves has boosted their confidence and excitement about graduating. The thermal printer adds another fun and interactive element because students can instantly print photos and memories to share with friends and family.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the opportunity to personalize their graduation experience. Because of your generosity, my kindergarten students have been able to experience joyful, hands-on learning in ways that truly support their growth. From the moment the materials arrived, the excitement in our classroom was unforgettable. My students' eyes lit up as they saw the scooter boards, craft supplies, and activity materials, and they couldn't wait to get started.\r\n\r\nWe began by introducing the scooter boards and movement activities, and they quickly became a favorite. Students practiced taking turns, moving safely, and encouraging one another as they scooted across the floor. It was amazing to see how naturally they supported their classmates, cheering each other on and celebrating small successes. One of our most memorable moments was during our egg spoon races. Students carefully balanced their eggs while walking, laughing when they dropped them, and eagerly trying again. These activities helped build coordination, balance, and teamwork, while also teaching resilience and perseverance in a fun and meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe creative portion of our project was just as impactful. Using the wooden eggs, paint pens, and markers, students designed their own unique creations. We talked about planning their designs and taking their time, and I was so impressed by their creativity and focus. Each egg reflected the personality of its creator, and students were incredibly proud to share their work with the class. These activities helped strengthen fine motor skills while also giving students a chance to express themselves and build confidence.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out was when a student who often struggles with confidence proudly held up their decorated egg and said, \"I made this!\" It was a simple moment, but such a powerful reminder of how meaningful these experiences are. Every student had the opportunity to feel successful, whether through movement, creativity, or teamwork.\r\n\r\nThe snacks you provided also helped us celebrate together as a classroom community. Sharing treats created a joyful and inclusive environment where students could relax, connect, and reflect on their experiences. These small moments of celebration helped strengthen friendships and made our classroom feel even more like a family.\r\n\r\nWe will continue to use these materials throughout the year for movement breaks, cooperative games, and creative projects. The scooter boards help students refocus and stay engaged, while the art supplies allow them to keep exploring their creativity. Your generosity has given us resources that will continue to support learning long after this project.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a lasting impact in our classroom. They were thrilled to explore with magnets, fascinated by the color-changing slides, and completely engaged while experimenting with kinetic sand. The ABC rice and numbers rice activities have also been a huge hit, helping reinforce literacy and math skills in a fun and interactive way.\r\n\r\nOne of their favorite activities has been building and experimenting with ramps for toy cars. Watching them figure out how to create different types of ramps has been incredible. They are learning through trial and error, thinking critically, and most importantly, collaborating with one another. These moments give students the opportunity to engage socially, share ideas, and play side by side while learning.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided materials but has also created an environment where students feel excited to explore, discover, and learn together. This sense of choice has helped students take greater ownership of their learning and has increased their confidence in the classroom.\r\n\r\nFlexible seating has also supported movement and collaboration, which has led to improved behavior and stronger peer interactions. The laminator and laminating sheets have allowed me to create durable learning tools—such as reusable math mats, phonics cards, and center activities—that students can use independently. The colorful Astrobrights paper, posters, and flashcards have enhanced our lessons and helped visual learners stay engaged, while the classroom rug has become a favorite spot for read-alouds and group discussions using our new books.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. They were especially thrilled by the new books, snacks, and bright classroom decor, and they couldn't wait to explore everything. Several students eagerly pointed out the new posters on the walls and asked when we could start using the whiteboards and bins. The electric pencil sharpener and organized supply bins made everyday routines smoother, and students felt proud having tools that made our classroom feel \"official\" and special.\r\n\r\nThanks to our donors, students now have what they need to move confidently into our next lessons. We are continuing to build strong literacy and math skills through small-group instruction, hands-on practice, and independent work using these resources. The books are supporting both reading skills and social-emotional learning, sparking meaningful conversations about kindness, emotions, and self-control. What's most wonderful is that the novelty hasn't worn off—my students are excited to use these tools every single day, which shows how much these high-quality resources mean to them.\r\n\r\nWe are currently combining our new phonics letters to build academic vocabulary words, and then illustrating those words in detail using the colored pencils and paper. This multi-sensory approach is making abstract words concrete and is boosting their confidence in both art and language. The biggest impact is that we are now using these materials to directly practice for the WIDA Assessment (ACCESS for ELLs), which is coming up soon. The hands-on practice with our new supplies is creating a low-stress, engaging environment for them to show what they know.\r\n\r\nThe next exciting step for our class is to focus our material use on the Speaking and Writing domains of the WIDA test. Students will use their vocabulary illustrations and newly acquired materials to practice describing people, places, and events in complete sentences, a key skill required for the assessment.
