My school services a vast majority of students that live in government housing. We are a Title 1 school. About 80 percent of the children at my school are English Language Learners. My school is very diverse we have Filipino, Micronesian, Samoan, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, and Portuguese children attending our school. Most of the children have recently moved to Oahu from Micronesia, and are adapting to a new culture. The students have mentioned to me that in their housing complex they don't have a recreation center, and are often bored. The garden would benefit them because they would be using their extra time to work on the garden.
