These kits have allowed my students to work with sounds and words in a completely new way. Our custodian brought in box after box of big learning wonders! \r\n\r\nWow! Our kindergarteners are loving their number and letter matching puzzles. They have so much fun learning how to sort, organize, match, and read. Their little hands have had a ton of practice counting the number pictures. \r\n\r\nOur second graders are intensely focused when they get their turn at the fraction puzzle. This gives them the individual opportunity to put together all the fractions they have learned. We appreciate that very much! \r\n\r\nYet...THE BIGGEST SURPRISE WAS OUR NEW RUG! When that long tube unrolled, a BIG, BEAUTIFUL CARPET APPEARED WITH OCEANS, CONTINENTS, AND ABC's. It is the most beautiful classroom carpet I have ever seen in my entire teaching career. I love my classroom and the kids are amazed with the interactive beauty of our rug. It truly is the most amazing learning component in my class. Look beyond the rug and you will see blue and green chair seats with little inserts that say STAR READER all around the room.\r\n\r\nOur chalkboard is set to be painted over summer which is going to give us a terrific start to the new school year. It is hard to put into words how much these resources have transformed our daily environment. Walking into the room now feels like entering a space where every corner invites discovery. Your support has given my students more than just supplies; you've given them a sense of pride in their learning space. Because of you, these children see that their education is valued by people beyond our school walls. The students were so excited to see new reinforcements that they did extra work to continue earning more time with the item! They actually asked us for more work so they could have another opportunity with the putty!! Having access to such beautiful, durable books makes our reading time feel like a special event, signaling to the students that their learning and their literature are truly valued.\r\n\r\nBeyond their visual appeal, these books are already serving as essential building blocks for our daily language development. We have been using them to dissect complex narrative structures, explore rich new vocabulary, and practice the expressive language skills necessary for clear communication. Seeing a student confidently use a \"fancy\" new word they discovered in one of these stories, or correctly predict a plot twist based on the narrative arc, is a direct result of having these caliber resources at our fingertips.\r\n\r\nUltimately, your generosity is helping me instill a lifelong love of literature in these young learners.
