My students thrive on exploring their environment and learning through play. The light table will encourage the students to explore colors with light. We will use it with our existing translucent shapes and letters to increase engagement and learning through play. Sensory items with a variety of texture are a soothing device for many of our students. When our students are showing signs of anxiety allowing them time in a sensory bin helps them to regulate their emotions. In the bins we have a selection of scoops, tweezers, letters, numbers and toys. The sensory items I have selected are easily washed and stored for multiple uses.
