We have about 10 minutes of access to the playground before four more classes join us. This makes for limited play time on the play ground equipment. The project that was funded help create an additional space for my class to play (the blacktop and grassy area). With the supplies, we are now able to play kick ball, chalk on the sidewalk and blow bubbles instead of standing in line waiting for a swing to come free. The gesture of donating to this project has decreased the amount of frustration during a time when students should be carefree and free to express their age and just play. When I explained that someone donated money to get these things, they were beyond amazed that someone they didn't even know did that for them! \r\n\r\nWe have already used all of the new items in class and during our Winter Performance in December. The 1st Graders sang a song about wind and used the scarves as a prop. You could hear \"wow\" coming from the audience as we were performing it. \r\n\r\nAnd the parachute has been a class favorite, even with my 6th graders! And some teachers, too!\r\n\r\nThank you again for your donation.
