We received them today, August 25. Our students were so incredibly excited to unpack the boxes. We have already placed the guitars in the new cases. The room was full of smiles throughout the entire process! I did not have to ask for volunteers to help as everyone was thrilled to pitch in!\r\n\r\nThe cases that came with the guitars a few years ago were thin cases designed for on-site storage only. They did not protect the guitars at all when they were transported to other places, much less to other rooms in the school. I would hold my breath when students walked down a crowded hallway with their cases!\r\n\r\nMy initial plan was simply to provide better protection for the guitars. However, several students have already come back to the room asking to take them home to practice! I could not ask for a better result than that! \r\n\r\nThis year, we will be performing in several locations in our state, Georgia, but also traveling to perform at Carowinds in North Carolina. These cases will ensure that we are taking good care of these instruments in all of our endeavors.\r\n\r\nSo again, THANK YOU for not only providing physical elements of our classroom, but also INSPIRATION for our students.
