In November our classroom was flooded while I was out for a heart bypass. Students lost access to our classroom and yet still worked and created in a regular classroom. We used our budget to replace tools and order more clay. There was no budget for more glazes, so I tried another donors choose for glazes. \r\nAs the glazes rolled in the door this semester, the light in the students eyes returned. It was as if there had never been a problem. They would come in on lunches the next semester to finish projects (no grade attached) from the previous semester. Glazing \"literally\" for days before firing them. Across the board in every level class the quality and engagement with glazes grew. They made extra projects just to try a new glaze.
