These dry erase boards really did make a huge difference and it is a project I am considering redoing for my new school. At the time, students needed access to materials that could be easily cleaned. Rather than having to sanitize large quantities of art supplies, I was able to give each student a dry erase board and marker that could simply be wiped down at the end of class. The students actually loved the novelty of the dry erase boards and the flexibility they give to make mistakes. I look back on this memory fondly. I also received a thank you from the person who is teaching in my former classroom. The dry erase boards continued to be enjoyed by the current students. They are read year after year to teach foundational art skills and social emotional learning. One of my personal favorites is \"I'm Not just a Scribble by Diane Alber. I begin every year with this book to encourage confidence in my Kindergarten students. After reading this title, I build upon skills with her other books. I have continued to build upon my classroom library over the years and now have a dedicated reading corner for students to use when they want to revisit the books we have read in class.
