As soon as it arrived in the mail we unpacked it together, put in the first clean filter, and turned it on to see how it would work in our classroom. We realized right away that it was quiet enough to leave on during the school day and we practiced plugging it in, turning it on, and finding a spot in the room for it to sit during the school day. \r\n\r\nAs expected, the class wanted to pick out a name for the filter, so we went through a naming process and came up with Alexa the filter. Now we lovingly refer to the filter by name and one of the classroom jobs each day is to turn it on, make sure that no one moves it, and turn it off at the end of the day. \r\n\r\nEven though we have only had the filter for a couple of months we decided to go ahead and change the filter because we checked it after one month and noticed just how much dust and debris it had already filtered out of our classroom air. \r\n\r\nThank you so much to all of you for your continued support of my classroom. We are well on our way to obtaining a class set of them, and we're almost there. These drums will enable us to walk and make music at the same time, especially fun and easy for the little ones! However, older students will also be able to enjoy them.\r\n\r\nThese drums will help improve our listening skills as well as our coordination. Most importantly, they will help us combine these two things. I can't wait to see the students moving and playing them when we return from our summer break.
