We used the Amazon gift card to purchase a hydroponic garden, fresh pencils, and a new keyboard, and they have already made such a difference. Our students immediately began setting up the hydroponic system and planted lettuce and herbs as part of a cross-curricular STEM project. They are tracking plant growth, measuring water levels, and recording data in digital journals using the new keyboard. It has been amazing to watch them connect science, technology, and responsibility in such a hands-on way.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the room filled with cheers and wide eyes! Many students had never seen a hydroponic garden before, and they were fascinated that plants could grow without soil. They carefully unboxed each item and volunteered for roles—plant technicians, data managers, and supply organizers. Even something as simple as having new pencils made them feel proud and prepared. The new keyboard has also sparked excitement, especially for students who love typing and coding, because it makes their work feel more \"official\" and professional.\r\n\r\nNext, our students will continue monitoring plant growth and begin analyzing their collected data to look for patterns and make predictions. They are designing small experiments to test how light exposure impacts growth, and they will present their findings in digital slide shows. We also plan to harvest our first crops and reflect on sustainability and food systems. Thanks to you, our classroom is not just learning about science—we are living it every day.
