Your donation has made it possible for these remarkable young learners to transform their passion for social-emotional wellness into a real-world business venture. In a world that often feels overwhelming, even for our youngest students, your support has empowered them to take action—creating therapeutic aromatherapy products that help their peers manage stress, anxiety, and tension. Your belief in their vision has shown these gifted students that their ideas matter and that compassion for others is a superpower worth investing in.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your contribution extends far beyond the aromatherapy blends our students are crafting. You have taught these children that generosity, community support, and entrepreneurship can work together to create positive change. By backing this project, you've validated their understanding that emotional health is just as important as academic excellence, and you've given them the confidence to lead with empathy. The addition of the iPad has allowed them to engage with science in a more interactive and meaningful way. Instead of simply reading about plants and the environment, students can now document their observations in real time—taking photos, recording videos, and creating digital notes to track their thinking. The technology supports diverse learning styles, allowing students to express their understanding visually, verbally, and through hands-on exploration. It has made learning more accessible, engaging, and memorable for every student in the room.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is the ability to capture their learning. They love using the iPad to vlog their plant experiments, explain their thinking, and showcase their discoveries. It has turned everyday lessons into something they feel proud to share. The science kits paired with the technology have created a powerful combination—students are not only experimenting and exploring, but also telling the story of their learning in creative ways. That sense of ownership has made a noticeable difference in their confidence and motivation.\r\n\r\nI've seen several students especially thrive with this technology—particularly those who may struggle with traditional pencil-and-paper tasks. Some of my quieter students have found their voice through video reflections, while others who need more support with writing have demonstrated their understanding through images and recordings. It has opened doors for students to participate in ways that feel natural and empowering to them. Because of this project, my students aren't just learning science—they're becoming scientists, storytellers, and confident learners.","fullyFundedDate":1746786430689,"projectUrl":"project/mission-stempossible/9320425/","projectTitle":"Mission: STEMpossible","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Baker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7618409_orig.jpg?crop=3999,3999,x1239,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691628406398","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7618409"},{"teacherId":2472733,"projectId":9945174,"letterContent":"These resources have had a powerful and lasting impact on my students by transforming center time, quiet listening, and small-group instruction into meaningful, engaging literacy experiences. Students can learn at their own pace, revisit stories, and build confidence as they grow. Most importantly, these resources have fostered a love of reading and storytelling, creating a positive foundation for lifelong learning while ensuring every child feels supported, included, and excited to participate.","fullyFundedDate":1765984604830,"projectUrl":"project/plug-into-a-book-promoting-strong-reade/9945174/","projectTitle":"Plug Into a Book: Promoting Strong Readers Through Listening","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arrington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2472733_orig.png?crop=1036,1036,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767406273930","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-arrington"},{"teacherId":2472733,"projectId":9896664,"letterContent":"Our new classroom printer has truly transformed the way our Pre-K students learn, create, and share their ideas.\r\n\r\nMany people use printers at home for simple tasks, but in a Pre-K classroom, a printer becomes a powerful learning tool. The printer allows us to document learning experiences with photos, turning everyday classroom moments into class books that support comprehension, sequencing, and storytelling.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most is seeing their own work come to life. When they draw a picture or dictate a story and then watch it become part of a printed class book, they feel like real authors and illustrators. They love holding a finished book that includes their ideas and sharing it with their classmates. Printing their artwork for displays and take-home folders also gives them a strong sense of pride and accomplishment.\r\n\r\nSome of our quieter students have especially warmed up to this technology. Children who may not always speak up during group time light up when their drawings or dictated stories are printed and shared. It gives them a voice. I've seen students become more motivated to practice writing letters and numbers because they know their work might be printed and showcased. The printer has helped turn simple classroom moments into meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, creativity, and early academic skills. This printer is not just a piece of equipment—it is a bridge between imagination and learning, helping our youngest learners see that their ideas matter.","fullyFundedDate":1766588392275,"projectUrl":"project/print-magic-for-early-learners/9896664/","projectTitle":"Print Magic for Early Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arrington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2472733_orig.png?crop=1036,1036,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767406273930","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-arrington"},{"teacherId":132851,"projectId":9505264,"letterContent":"My students love our new carpet and throw pillows! These are perfect for our ocean-themed classroom. There's something about kids sitting on the floor! Research says that it's a primal way for them to be grounded and explore their environment freely, supporting physical and mental development. Our space has chairs and long tables. They are situated on the sides and back of the classroom, so that there is an open space in the middle of the classroom. I can use the carpet to conduct lessons using the class's smartboard - where students in the back \"row\" of tables can come to the front and sit on the throw cushions. \r\n\r\nWe also use the throw pillows for students to sit on the floor during our Social Emotional Learning (i.e. SEL) time. This is when we do morning affirmations, yoga, and/or deep breathing. In one of the attached pictures, you may notice that one student is measuring another student's foot. The carpet was great for this activity because it allowed another \"flat\" space in the classroom for students to use for measurement. Some of the poems were silly, fantastical, family-oriented, etc. The students enjoyed them so much that they started reading poems in the book that were not \"assigned.\" This impacted their reading as well as their comprehension! \r\n\r\nIn addition to comprehension, poetry also helped my students increase their vocabulary as well as their ability to rhyme. Rhyming pairs such as 'spaghetti - Yeti' and 'Tibet-baguette' made kids laugh out loud. It also got the kids comfortable with creating their own poem.
