After my students researched, created and 'kitchen' tested the popcorn flavors, they wanted to create labels for their product and package them. \r\n They also decided to publish a classroom cookbook with their flavors. My students were so excited to pick the bottles and different types of labels to use. I couldn't believe the amount of work they put into figuring out what supplies to order and making designs to use for the label and cookbook.\r\n In preparation for the cluster showcase, they made a survey for the other 2nd grade classroom students to choose the flavor of popcorn that they would like to try. After, they worked together to label and fill the bags. The excitement was uncontainable. And on the day of the showcase, they stood in front of the grade level, student, teachers and guests and with beaming smiles they presented their product. It was a very proud moment to see how far they had come.
