There are 7 stations for the students to interact with hands on equipment: car motor, workshop bench with tools, medical and dental equipment, kitchen set, market with cash register, pet care with grooming tools, and an art easel. \r\nThe Grand Opening took place February 2 with 9 students entering the Falcon Learning Village with awe and amazement on their faces. They circled around as they took in each learning station: the Falcon Pet Care, Automotive Shop, Workshop, Medical/Dental Clinic, Art Club, Fresh Market, Kozy Kitchen with such excitement! When they were instructed to check things out, they immediately explored the materials and immersed themselves in pretend play and roleplaying!\r\nVisiting the Falcon Learning Village has become an integral part of the student's daily learning experience. A plethora of opportunities to practice communication skills, fine motor skills, social skills, and critical thinking skills are available. Students gather at the Decision Making Table to choose which station to visit that day. Students receive their Timecard for the day. Students proceed to their station and 'Clock in' by placing their Timecard on the wall at their station and then, the Work begins!\r\nWithout the generous donations from the donors at DonorsChoose.org, this project would not have been able to be implemented.
