It's important for the students to have the tools they need in order to pass the test at the end of the year. \r\nWe were able to use the craft sticks to make some crafts in order to make Civics come alive for them! I can now teach what we are studying and put a visual up for the students to see. This is just so helpful for them. \r\nWe turned some grievances from the Declaration of Independence into a text message to King George and they loved it. Our students live in one of the poorest communities in one of the poorest counties in Florida. Many times, their confidence and self esteem comes from participation in extracurricular activities. Many of my students improved their classroom performance in order to feel worthy of the support. Many others have obtained scholarships from their academic and athletic abilities. \r\n\r\nSeveral of my former students that you helped over the years are playing major college football, basketball and have even made it to the professional ranks in sports. Jamier Jones is a basketball player at Providence College, Lajohntay Wester is a professional football player with the Baltimore Ravens. Those are just a few. So the indirect impact of your support can be quantified. Again, many thanks. Without your support, I would not be able to provide my students the equipment and uniforms that have created the atmosphere of greatness.\r\n\r\nWhen they saw the new equipment and uniforms, it gave our students a strong sense of confidence.
