The requested items will be used with the middle school students in the Health Science Exploration Class. The items will be used to make their own models of body systems. Students will be able to visualize the body system as we discuss the structure and function of the that system. When the students build their own models they are more engaged with the lesson and are able to learn and retain more information. Some models will go home with them to allow them more time to study the model and how the body works. This will be helpful as they move forward in their healthcare career education.
