By providing these materials, you are removing barriers before they even begin.\r\nThese simple supplies do far more than fill a backpack—they open the door to creativity, early literacy, and hands-on learning. A crayon becomes a child's first way to express ideas. A pencil helps build the foundational skills needed for writing. Dry erase markers allow students to practice without fear of making mistakes, encouraging growth and resilience.\r\nMost importantly, your generosity helps create a sense of equity in our classroom. Every child will start the year with the same tools, allowing them to focus on learning, exploring, and building relationships rather than worrying about what they may be missing. This shared foundation fosters confidence, belonging, and a positive attitude toward school.\r\nBy investing in these students now—before they even step into kindergarten—you are shaping their first educational experiences and helping set the tone for a lifetime of learning. Seeing them smile when they saw the organized space was amazing. They finally feel like they are not wasting time locating classroom resources.\r\n\r\nFourth grade teachers put the new bins to use right away for a math unit on fractions. In the past, they wasted a lot of time looking for fraction tiles, pattern blocks and Cuisenaire rods or opting not use them at all. This time, I told the teachers to look on the middle two shelves and grab a bin. Because everything was already sorted into bins for the unit, the teachers were able to grab and go. \r\n\r\nNext, we are going to organize the science supplies.
