A flickering light, the hum of technology, or background noise can become overwhelming barriers, pulling their attention away from the curriculum and their peers.\r\n\r\nOur solution was to strategically integrate sensory tools and resources that empower students to manage this input. \r\n\r\nIt is a simple truth that no one can learn well when they are hungry or experiencing a blood sugar crash. This is especially true for students who may have sensory-based food preferences or difficulty communicating their physical needs. Providing access to healthy, nutritional snacks is a vital component of emotional regulation, helping to prevent meltdowns and maintain the stamina needed for a full day of learning.\r\n\r\nThis project is about more than just equipment; it is about equity. It is about building a space that communicates to every student that they belong and that their unique needs will be met.
