Although we ask parents to provide a wireless mouse for their child to use at school, many cannot afford the extra expense. This often results in students either lacking a mouse, sharing with classmates, or borrowing one from the teacher. The Chromebooks we use are outdated and beginning to fail, particularly the touchpads. This is extremely frustrating, as it can lead to students clicking on the wrong answers or disrupting their work. By donating the mice, storage bags, and the pocket chart, all my students now have access to a functioning mouse that is securely stored for long-term use. They understand that these items were given specifically for them, and they are taking excellent care of them, recognizing their responsibility. This has given the girls on the team an opportunity for a better season! Our record is the highest it has ever been at our school, and we made it to 4th place in our tournament. The girls were very thrilled and excited to use the new equipment. The balls are of good quality and our school colors. They thought it made them more unified, and the arm bands did wonders on their arms; no more bruises! \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the new equipment led to a decision to start a boys' volleyball team that will be starting this Spring. We have chosen our team, and with the same enthuseasum of the new equipment, we hope to win some tournaments! Being that this is the first year my school has had a cheer team, I couldn't be prouder of the progress which we've made already. \r\n\r\nMy girls have been able to grow and learn safely with the ground stunting stand. Our flyer has improved SO much by being able to practice her balance without being all the way up in the air. Not only does this allow her to practice without fear, but it keeps the stunt group from tiring out by having to throw the same stunt a million times so that she can learn her balance. \r\n\r\nAlso, due to your donations, I have been able to provide my team with a uniform for practices. This makes our team not only look more cohesive but allows the kids to truly feel like a team every single time they practice. \r\n\r\nIn addition to all of this, I was able to give each and every student on my team a brand-new bedazzled bow, a bag to hold their cheer clothes during school, and socks for games. \r\n\r\nI know that with the materials you all have graciously donated towards, my team will be able to be the best they can be, while feeling confident, and looking their best.
