Students ask to use both these items on a daily basis and are terribly disappointed when unable to. The markers are used by the students while solving math problems on whiteboards. Somehow using the expo markers on white boards, magically makes solving math problems fun. Likewise, sitting on the rug while playing a math game or solving math problems with classmates makes learning so much more enjoyable for my students. You are responsible for this.\r\n\r\nAnother item that was part of this project was a hanging file organizer. This item has helped me organize student work for my small group instruction. This has allowed me to be much more efficient, leading to more instruction time instead of spending time looking for papers. For this, I personally thank you.\r\n\r\nPlease know your generosity has really had an impact on my classroom and the school lives of the children in it.","fullyFundedDate":1755039167388,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials-to-kick-off-another/9471652/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials to Kick Off Another Great Yeara","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2380496_orig.jpg?crop=716,716,x281,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693350391386","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2380496"},{"teacherId":2380496,"projectId":9243943,"letterContent":"Since receiving these books, the amount of students asking to borrow books to read at home has increased. This is so beneficial because it goes without saying that the more the students practice reading the better readers they will become. \r\n\r\nSpecifically, these texts are really encouraging my struggling readers to practice reading because graphic novels inherently chunk text for the students which is a reading strategy that is very useful to process texts. The easier readability of these graphic novels allows students who struggle in reading to read some of the same texts as their peers who are at grade-level which boosts their confidence. The boost of confidence these students are experiencing will hopefully open the doors for them to read other texts as well.\r\n\r\nAs you can see, your generosity is supporting my students to become stronger readers and is having and immense impact.
