With these new materials, we are giving children the opportunity to express their ideas, feelings, observations, and imagination in ways that go beyond words. We believe children have many ways of sharing what they think and understand about the world, and painting is one of those beautiful ways. When the materials first arrived, the excitement was contagious! The children were eager to explore the colors, experiment with different techniques, and discover what they could create. Watching them make their own choices, share ideas, and bring their thoughts to life on paper has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nWe have been incorporating these materials into our classroom explorations by encouraging children to look closely at the world around them and represent what they see, imagine, and discover through art. Instead of focusing on creating a perfect final product, we celebrate the process of experimenting, trying new things, asking questions, and developing their own ideas. As we continue, we look forward to connecting painting with our literacy, science, and nature investigations, allowing children to create visual stories inspired by the books we read, the things we discover, and the questions we ask. I prepare many projects and tasks for my students. Being able to print allows me to give them guidelines and templates for their projects so they can look nice and be organized in their creation. Not to mention, I have to print out resources for myself when planning and setting up daily lessons for the students. I print out weekly lesson plans and differentiated instruction notes (lists of activities to get done depending on what levels they are at so I am meeting their needs). Without a printer, I would have to hand write many things which would be very time consuming and take away from my planning time. The best part is how it allows me to do this quickly and on the spot, especially if our plans change or I see a student is struggling and needs extra practice with me right away. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your donations that allowed me to get this technology and support my teaching.
