Thanks to your generosity, students began their first days of school feeling prepared, supported, and welcomed. For many families, this simple act removed a financial burden and replaced it with reassurance that their child had what they needed to start the year strong.\r\n\r\nWhen students later came into my classroom and saw the backpacks neatly placed on the shelves, their reactions were filled with excitement and gratitude. They loved the designs—from camouflage to bright, colorful tie-dye—and proudly wore them right away. More importantly, they learned that these resources were always available to them. If a backpack is lost or damaged, or if a student needs supplies like notebooks, paper, or pencils, they know there is a safe, judgment-free space where they can get what they need.\r\n\r\nThese book bags are used daily as students move between four classes, carrying academic materials, water bottles, and even extra clothing for after-school activities. In my ESOL lab, where I support students who speak Haitian Creole and Spanish with science, social studies, math, language arts, and life skills, the backpacks have become a symbol of readiness and belonging. Thank you for believing in our students and for choosing to support a school community that truly benefits from your kindness. Your generosity continues to make a lasting difference, and we are deeply thankful.\r\n\r\nBecause donors like you chose to support this project, the impact reached far beyond my classroom. This year, we were able to serve 631 students with book bags—an outcome that is both humbling and deeply rewarding. I am truly at a loss for words when I think about the number of students and families who benefited from your kindness. Thank you for believing in our school community, and I hope you will continue to keep an eye out for future DonorsChoose projects as we work together to support our students.","fullyFundedDate":1761069240036,"projectUrl":"project/dream-packs/9428082/","projectTitle":"Dream Packs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carline Mervilus HBCU ALUM","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-mervilus"},{"teacherId":10213642,"projectId":9638299,"letterContent":"Being able to have a color printer allows our IB students a significant advantage in the presentation of their artifacts by moving beyond the limitations of standard black-and-white print.
