Your support helped transition our garden plans from ordinary to extraordinary. Students are showing such enthusiasm throughout the course of the day regarding their love for the garden. Allowing students to incorporate fresh picked fruits and vegetables in their everyday meals has been the game-changer.\r\n\r\nFirst & foremost, your donations for these cooking classes every Friday has improved attendance overnight. I offer students a broad range of fruits or vegetables that they would like to incorporate in meals. During a typical cooking day, students select & put on their chef attire. Then, head out to the garden area to search for the ripest fruits and veggies. Finally, you hear the chatter among them about the amazing smell as items are being rinsed. \r\n\r\nBecause you cared enough to support our healthy initiative, I will work tirelessly to ensure that this is a memorable chapter that's tailored to their needs.","fullyFundedDate":1762891584811,"projectUrl":"project/gardening-harvesting-gratifying-resu/9529459/","projectTitle":"Gardening + Harvesting = Gratifying Results","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stewart-Ray","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2159788_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754202404231","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2159788"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45750","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":395,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":78,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":85,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":40.6,"schoolId":45750,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Holmes Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Holmes Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/miami-dade-county-public-schools/holmes-elementary-school/45750"}
