Because of you, our students now have access to meditation cushions that also serve as bolsters, and they have truly transformed our practice space.\r\n\r\nThe original bolsters selected for our project were unfortunately out of stock, but the cushions we received have proven to be incredibly versatile. Students now use them both for seated meditation and as supportive props in restorative poses, allowing for greater comfort and accessibility during our sessions.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving these materials, many students struggled with physical discomfort during stillness practices. Sitting on the floor for meditation or holding poses for longer periods made it difficult for them to fully relax and stay present. Now, with the support of these cushions, students are able to settle more easily into their bodies and remain engaged for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nWe use these props during our bi-monthly club sessions for guided meditation, breathwork, and restorative yoga. I have even been able to use them during my Spanish classes to guide mindful meditations in the target language for students who finish their work early. They are so comfortable and colorful! The shift has been immediate. The room feels calmer, more grounded, and students are more willing to participate in moments of stillness.\r\n\r\nFor of our students, this club is a rare opportunity to slow down during a busy school day. These materials have made that experience more accessible, helping them manage stress, improve focus, and develop lifelong tools for well-being. This is the first year that's CIE has sponsored a yoga club, so attendance is has been limited , but it's off to a great start. The students who are showing up are very enthusiastic and the club will doubtlessly expand in the coming school year.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a meaningful and lasting difference in our school community. With the addition of the 3D printer, our classroom has transformed into a true maker space. Students have been using it ardently to bring their STEM Challenge projects to life, moving beyond sketches on paper to tangible, physical prototypes. This ability to iterate and see their designs in 3D has boosted their problem-solving skills and kept their engagement levels at an all-time high.\r\n\r\nBeyond engineering, these funds have allowed us to bridge the gap between abstract concepts and real-world application. The new lab equipment has provided my students with essential hands-on experiences in electrochemistry. Understanding these complex chemical processes can be a hurdle, but by actually performing the experiments themselves, students have gained a much deeper mastery of the material. This foundational knowledge is now being directly applied to their independent projects, allowing for more sophisticated and scientifically sound outcomes.\r\n\r\nAs we look forward, the introduction of the Meta Oculus headsets is set to take our curriculum even further. These tools will allow students to immerse themselves in virtual environments related to their research, providing a perspective that a traditional classroom simply cannot offer.
