Not only that but after the test they had such joy when reaching their goal so that they will be able to add a new badge to their shirt (They apparently thought I would bust it out right then for them). They are so excited with their shirts too that they are asking for when the next time they get to wear them will be. Being at a uniform school it is a really big deal too when they get to wear something that is not their uniform. (Which I of course got permission from my admin that they could).\r\n\r\nThis is bringing so much joy to my students rather than just being filled with stress when they know they have a big test coming. I never want me students to feel like they are not able to or that they are not smart enough to be able to reach their goals. This shirt is a great reminder to them all that I and others believe in their success. It is not all about the score but about the effort and believing in themselves. They will get to earn new things to put on their shirt as the year passes with each major test and now because of you and your support my students have something positive to think about when it comes to testing. We use our iPads for \"listen to reading\" time. Students get to listen to stories being read to them on a website called MyOn. It's an online library that reads fiction and nonfictions books to my students to help build their love reading and have unlimited access to books.\r\n\r\nStudents also love to use the iPads to post pictures of their work on an app called Seesaw to show their parents work they are proud of. \r\n\r\nTheir favorite time of the day is when we use our iPads during our reading and math centers. The very first day they saw the stools, there was a line of eager second graders waiting for their turn. Their faces lit up with curiosity and joy as they tested the gentle movement, quickly realizing that learning could feel both focused and fun.\r\n\r\nSince then, the wobble stools have become a game-changer in our classroom. Students use them most often during small-group instruction and independent work time. I've already noticed how much they help my students who need to move to stay engaged. Students who typically havea hard time sitting still, are now able to stay focused and complete assignments without interruptio! The stools are not just seats; they are tools that help my students take ownership of their learning in a comfortable and supportive way.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these stools will continue to play an important role in our daily lessons and projects. Right now, we are working on collaborative math problem-solving, and the wobble stools make group time more inviting and enjoyable. I am confident they will be a favorite choice throughout the year, encouraging focus, collaboration, and engagement. Your generosity has truly made an impact, and my students and I are deeply grateful for the difference you've made in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746785641550,"projectUrl":"project/wobble-into-learning-flexible-seating-f/9106615/","projectTitle":"Wobble into Learning: Flexible Seating for Engaged Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pelayo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9920285_orig.png?crop=1536,1536,x0,y153&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757513121062","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mspelayo"},{"teacherId":10108622,"projectId":9528335,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in helping us get our brand-new classroom rug! My students and I are so grateful to have this special space that makes our classroom feel even more like a home.\r\nWe use the rug every day for morning meetings, read-alouds, and group lessons. It has quickly become the heart of our classroom where we gather to learn and share ideas together. One of my favorite moments so far was during a partner reading activity—students were so excited to spread out on the rug, get comfortable, and dive into their books. It was wonderful to see how engaged and happy they were in their new learning spot.\r\nWhen the rug first arrived, my students' eyes lit up. They were amazed to see their classroom transform with such a colorful, cozy space. Your support made an incredible difference this year—not just by filling our shelves, but by sparking curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of reading in our students.\r\n\r\nWith these books, my students were able to participate in our district's SLAM (Students Leading and Achieving through Multimedia) showcase. They selected texts that resonated with them, then created multimedia projects to express their understanding and interpretation. It was powerful to watch them connect deeply with literature and present their insights so creatively and confidently.\r\n\r\nBeyond SLAM, your donated books have become an essential part of our reading routine. We use them during independent reading time, aligned with our SEM-R (Schoolwide Enrichment Model for Reading) curriculum. This allows students to self-select high-interest, challenging texts that promote advanced comprehension strategies. They are learning to analyze character development, explore themes across genres, identify author's craft, and engage in meaningful peer discussions.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is joyful, independent, and rigorous. You'll often see students curled up in cozy corners with a book in hand, jotting notes in their reading journals, or eagerly discussing what just happened in a plot twist with a classmate.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have truly shined thanks to these new books. One fourth grader, who was previously reluctant to read independently, discovered a new favorite author through your donation and now finishes a chapter book almost every other week. Another student, a fifth-grade aspiring writer, was so inspired by the writing style in one of the books that she's now working on her own short story series during writing workshop time.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving our readers the gift of choice, challenge, and discovery. Your generosity has had a lasting impact in our classroom and in the hearts of our students.\r\n\r\nWarmly,\r\nKailey Picone \r\nGifted ELA Teacher\r\nRampello Downtown Partnership School","fullyFundedDate":1737010008033,"projectUrl":"project/mission-grow-a-love-for-reading/8807927/","projectTitle":"Mission: Grow a Love for Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Picone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9040126"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_67412","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":782,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":30,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":82.6,"schoolId":67412,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rampello K-8 School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rampello K-8 School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/hillsborough-county-public-school-district/rampello-k-8-school/67412"}
