Your amazing sponsorship of this project allowed our teachers to create their own calm down toolboxes for their classrooms during one of our pre-planning meetings. The teachers were so excited to select items from the \"assembly line\" of tools based on their personal preferences while perusing the tools. Our teachers' excitement about these calm down tools and toolboxes radiated on their faces, in their voices and conversation with each other, and especially in their eagerness to build their toolboxes!! They wanted to build them on the first day when we merely mentioned the project! It was a joy watching one teacher take her toolbox to her table and immediately begin putting the batteries in her breathing lamp! This excitement will be contagious as our students begin to learn how to use the tools very soon! Our goal as a student services team is to begin \"teaching\" our students how to use each tool on our morning show next week! As they are introduced to each tool, they will be able to practice using the tangible tools YOU bought for us, yet in their very own classrooms! We have over 550 students this school year, so the impact of this project and your generous contributions will be tremendous! \r\nWe are so grateful for your open hearts and generosity in helping us with this project! They designed unique works of art and proudly displayed them in a walk-through museum that allowed classmates, staff, and visitors to experience their creativity in a whole new way. This project encouraged students to collaborate, think creatively, and take pride in their work while creating an unforgettable classroom experience.\r\n\r\nThe excitement began the moment the materials arrived. Students eagerly explored the new supplies and couldn't wait to see how their artwork would glow under the black lights. When the room lights went off and their creations came to life, their faces lit up with excitement and amazement. Many students who are typically reserved became eager to share their artwork and explain their creative choices. Seeing their confidence grow as they proudly showcased their work was one of the most rewarding parts of the project.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students will continue using these materials for future art projects and collaborative displays throughout the school year.
