Our amazing students have had a rocky start to their school year after hurricane Maria devastated their homes and I am making it my mission to have this year be a memorable and effective learning experience for all. My goal for this project is to increase student reading and math stamina and engagement through the use of this Chromebook. This year our district has adopted a new end of year assessment. This assessment is done on computers. My students have had so much to overcome already this year that learning to use a computer while taking a test is an added stress they cannot take on. With this technology, we can introduce the new program that is used by our district to assess our students. They will gain the experience through working through concepts at their own pace and they will have developed the skills to take the exam at the end of the year without worrying about not knowing how to use a computer. After losing everything, our students do not need an added stress of learning how to take exams on the computer. Thank you for considering our project.
