The 2 Chromebooks you purchased for our classroom have been used on a daily basis.\r\n\r\nStudents use the Chromebooks during morning arrival, reading centers, and math centers. They work in programs such as Lexia which helps them build a solid foundation as they learn to read. Some students use the Chromebooks to read online books through myON. This supplements our classroom library and has helped some kids develop an interest in learning to read. Lastly, students practice with math facts and concepts. Their use of math programs allow them the opportunity to develop both their math confidence and fluency. During their practice session students may be reviewing concepts we've already learned, they may be reinforcing skills we are currently working on, or for some students they are working ahead of us. This ensures every student is provided the instruction and reinforcement they need based upon their current skill level.\r\n\r\nIt is a joy to have students come and ask if they can practice! It is also rewarding to see them take ownership for their learning. The students were absolutely thrilled when they walked in and saw it for the first time. We've been using this as a wonderful opportunity to practice taking care of new things, and the children have already taken great pride in helping keep our special space clean and cozy.\r\n\r\nThe new rug has truly brightened up our learning environment. It has become the heart of our classroom. It is a warm, welcoming space where we gather for whole-group lessons, morning meetings, stories, and sharing time. Students love using the rug during center rotations, especially for puzzles and cooperative activities that let them work together comfortably. \r\n\r\nThank you for making this improvement possible.
