As we have all learned through this difficult time, technology to reach students at home is more crucial than ever. I have used Nearpod in my class for the past 3 years as a fun and important formative assessment tool. However, this year it has proved more vital than ever. Nearpod has amazing tools such as virtual field trips, quizzes, collaborative sharing boards and more. Its ability to easily link to my Google Classroom made it my go to tool in distant learning. I plan on continuing to use Nearpod in the classroom next year and to use it to extend virtual learning at home. Nearpod is an amazing online techonolgy tool that makes learning exciting and fun and Junior Scholastic is an amazing resource that provides interesting and timely articles. I love that I can easily link it to my google classroom and use it for distant learning. There is almost always a relevant Civics articles and the text features are amazing. Both of these online technology tools will really help me in both the classroom and extending distant learning for next year.
