Many of my students are English language learners, and this technology has opened new doors for them to access learning in meaningful ways. We use the iPad for interactive reading apps, language practice, and research activities that help students build their vocabulary and comprehension skills in fun, dynamic ways.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students the most is how hands-on their learning has become. They love being able to record their voices, listen to stories, and use translation tools right at their fingertips. This has made lessons more interactive and allowed students to learn at their own pace.\r\n\r\nOne of my ESOL students, who was previously shy about participating, has grown more confident thanks to language and pronunciation apps. She now volunteers to read aloud and share her work with the class. It's inspiring to see how a single device can empower students and make learning accessible for everyone.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible for our Timberwolves. Your generosity is not just providing technology—you're creating opportunities, confidence, and joy in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1758836994381,"projectUrl":"project/tech-for-timberwolves-language-made-eas/9680315/","projectTitle":"Tech for Timberwolves: Language Made Easy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9214288_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692962566725","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9214288"},{"teacherId":9214288,"projectId":9680386,"letterContent":"When our ink supplies arrived, my students and I were so excited to finally bring their work to life on paper. We've been able to print reading passages, writing templates, and colorful anchor charts that make our lessons much more engaging. One special moment was when students printed and decorated their own essays—they were so proud to hold a final product that looked polished and professional. It gave them a real sense of ownership over their writing.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first came in, my students' faces lit up. They couldn't believe they were able to print their projects in color instead of just viewing them on a screen. Something as simple as seeing their words and ideas come alive in print has made a big difference in their confidence and motivation.\r\n\r\nNow, we're using the ink to continue building our classroom projects. For example, students are currently working on an argumentative essay unit, and having the ability to print drafts, peer feedback forms, and final copies helps them practice the full writing process from start to finish. Thanks to your generosity, my students feel proud of their work and are motivated to keep improving every day.","fullyFundedDate":1757683099457,"projectUrl":"project/full-of-ink-full-of-learning/9680386/","projectTitle":"Full of Ink, Full of Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9214288_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692962566725","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9214288"},{"teacherId":9214288,"projectId":9018219,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has become a space filled with creativity and excitement. The new resources have allowed me to design engaging materials that bring lessons to life and give students the chance to express their ideas in new ways. Instead of just reading about a concept, they now create, collaborate, and showcase their learning in ways that build both confidence and pride.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching a group of students work together on a project they printed themselves—they were so eager to share their creations with classmates and explained their ideas with confidence. It was a reminder that when students are given the right tools, their creativity and voices truly shine.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, these resources have helped me grow by giving me the ability to design more interactive and student-centered lessons. I'm excited to continue exploring new ways to integrate creativity into our upcoming units, especially as we move into more complex reading and writing projects.
