The items that I received have had a tremendous impact on assisting my ESE students cool down and relax when they need a break. The LED 4 ft. tall floor lamp is visually stunning and they still absolutely love it and are in awe. The lamp has allowed my students to sit at a desk, on the floor, or cool down area because they can see it from anywhere in the room. The jellyfish lamps have added a very soothing and calm element to my classroom as well. The fidget toys, dolls, and arcade basketball games have helped promote teamwork, sharing, and an overall sense of community to students who have often felt rejected. These items have been extremely beneficial for my students that just need to feel safe and a part of a family. \r\n\r\nBy the students' continuing to build a sense of self has allowed them to feel a part of a community and their overall classroom behavior has improved, resulting more positive interaction and less discipline referrals. \r\n\r\nAgain, we THANK YOU for your generous donations and we are so grateful for your support, and investment in the Merrill Road Elementary School BSU. Your help, has allowed them to be able to enjoy these items for many, many years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1761848050454,"projectUrl":"project/wow-fish-thats-a-nice-led-floor-senso/9853041/","projectTitle":"Wow, Fish! My students are just learning how to write and understand that writing is for meaning and how you should draw pictures to match your words. We read stories every day and at my small group table we draw pictures of the stories and write the title of the story.\r\n When the students saw the writing jouurnals they were so excited. I shared with them that each day they draw and write in these jounals I will stamp the date on there. They can keep these journals or their parents and they can look at them when they get older to see how far they have come academically. \r\n Later in the year when they learn their letters and sounds, they can use these journals to write the sentences themselves.
